Different computer monitors and smartphones pack widely varying numbers of pixels into every physical inch. Without calibration, displaying a 10-centimeter line on a screen produces incorrect measurements depending on display density. Pexlii solves this problem through optical hardware calibration directly in your browser. Our on-screen ruler utilizes a standard reference calibration system. You can align a standard physical card (such as a credit card or driver's license, which conforms to ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 specifications of exactly 85.60 × 53.98 mm) against the on-screen card template. By adjusting the slider until the template matches your physical card, the tool calculates your monitor's exact Pixels Per Inch (PPI) and Device Pixel Ratio. Once calibrated, the ruler renders crisp SVG millimeter, centimeter, and inch tick marks calibrated to true 1:1 physical scale. The calibration setting is stored locally in your browser so your measurements remain accurate every time you return.
